Right on State Street, Miss Saigon is a surprising gem in Ukiah that blends bold Vietnamese flavors with a relaxed bar vibe and let me tell you, it does both very well.
The menu is extensive, covering everything from pho and vermicelli bowls to sushi, curries, and chow mein. Whether you’re craving a warm, aromatic bowl of noodle soup or a crisp, fresh roll from the sushi bar, they’ve got something for every palate. I especially loved that they have traditional dishes like Vietnamese Sandwiches (Banh Mi) and a full list of rice and stir-fry plates, all reasonably priced.
The bar? Top notch. It’s a legit full-service setup with plenty of taps, top-shelf liquor, and an inviting granite countertop where locals and travelers alike can relax. TVs were showing the game, and the atmosphere struck that sweet balance between chill and lively. Bonus points for cold beer served with proper respect.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the space itself is clean, modern, and way bigger inside than you’d expect from the exterior. There’s even a sushi chef working right in the open always a good sign when you can watch the magic happen.
Whether you’re stopping through town or you’re a local looking for a new regular spot, Miss Saigon delivers. Come hungry, come curious—and maybe stay for a second drink, ask for Hercules…
